Having embraced the rich Buddhist heritage from the 6th century BC, Odisha has its share of many Buddhist sites scattered across the length & breath. There are some which not only have the largest concentration of Buddhist remains but are also a must-visit for instant enlightenment.
Day 01: Arrival Bhubaneswar |
On arrival at Bhubaneswar airport received by our representative and check-in al hotel.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Bhubaneswar |
Morning after breakfast visit to famous city temples including Lingaraj(Foreigners allowed from outside) Parsurameswar temple, Mukteswar ( Mukteswar temple, one of the most prominent temples of Bhubaneswar and Rajarani temple is an 11th-century Hindu temple located in Bhubaneswar. The temple was constructed of dull red and yellow sandstone locally called "Rajarani".
Afternoon visit Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves one of the earliest groups of Jain rock-cut shelters, the caves of Udayagiri (Hill of Sunrise) and Khandagiri (Broken Hills) command a unique position in the filled of history, rock-cut architecture, art and religion.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Bhubaneswar / Konark / Bhubaneswar ( 75 Kilometers one way) |
Post breakfast excursion to Konark. Enroute visit Dhauli Famous for Asokan Rock Edicts and Place where battle of Kalinga was Fought which made a great change of Ashok mind so that he became Buddhist. Later visit Pipili applique works and World heritage site Sun Temple of Konark (Watch the Buddhist influence on this temple) & Famous Jagannath Temple.
Later drive back to Bhubaneswar.

Day 05: Bhubaneswar / Langudi ( 75 Kilometers / One way) |
After breakfast full day excursion to Kayam Hill Buddhist cave and LangudiGiri which one of recent excavation with ruins of Monastery, Stupas and lot of Mahayanic sculptors, Five DhyaniBuddhas. Later drive back to Bhubaneswar.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06: Depart Bhubaneswar |
After breakfast departure transfer to Bhubaneswar airport/railway station for onwards journey.
