Arrival at Kochi International Airport, then transfer to the Hotel. Next day sight deeing this fasinating town. Today we drive to Alleppey backwaters (approx 70km / 1.5 hr) to board rice boat for our cruise through the small canals and Vembanadu Lake. Arrive Alleppey and embark the House boat that comprises twin rooms with attached bathrooms , running water and a lounge area in which to relax and enjoy the sights on the shore. Cruise through the backwaters of Alleppey, which is hailed as the ‘ Venice of the east’, because of its intricated maized and backwaters, cannals and bridges. In the boat you can enjoy the traditional Kerala style dishes .
we drive towards the highlands of Kerala - Thekkady (approx 140 km/4 hrs). The journey takes you through softly contoured hill slopes surrounded by plantations of rubber, pepper and spices like cardamom, coffee & tea. Places to visit: Spice plantation visit, Elephant safari, natural walk, Boat ride, Marshal arts show, etc..
we drive to Munnar (approx 120km /4 hrs), a major centre of Kerala’s tea industry, and close to Anamudi (2695m), the highest peak in South India. It is surrounded by about 30 tea estates, among the highest in the world, and forest that is still rich in wildlife, including the reclusive Nilgiri Tahr. Places to visit: Rajamalai, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Local market, CSI Church, etc….
we proceed towards Cherai Beach (approx 150km/4 hrs) …Cherai Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Kerala bordering the northern end of Vypeen Island, is located about 26 km from Ernakulam city, Kochi. Rest of the day free to relax.
we drive to the boarder of Kerala, Wayanadu (Vythiri) (approx 250km / 6hrs) . In the hills and forests of Wayanad where nature in its primeval form has blended gracefully and evolved in a modern format, you will experience a thrill of a life time. Next day early morning Jeep Safari through the forest.
we proceed towards Mudumalai (approx 110km /2 hrs) Nestled amidst the Karapur Forest in the southern part of Nagarhole National Park lies a pristine piece of land that abounds with nature. A view from the banks are breathtaking. Evening go for a jeep safari to sight the animals.
The palaces and royal garden of Mysore (approx 110 Km/ 2 hrs), ‘The Jewel of Karnataka’, provide glimpses of its past grandeur.. Mysore is well known for its Silk also. Places to visit: Maharaja’s Palace, the Chamundi Hill,Renganathittu, Devraja Market, etc…
we proceed to Hasan (approx 120 km/ 3 hrs). En route visit Sravanabalagola.. Check into the Hotel. Day free for sight- seeing trip to Belur & Halebid, the Hoysala temples at Halebid and Belur are widely acknowledged as being among the best examples of Hindu architecture in India.
Today is the last day of your dream holiday. Depart to Bangalore International Airport to board the flight back to your home country.
