Kodagu is a district of Karnataka in southern India. It is also known as the English name of their كورغ . And occupies about 4,100 square kilometers of land in the Western Ghats in the southwestern state of Karnataka.The Kodavas are traditionally farmers and warriors . Most of their rituals and traditions and festivities centered on agriculture and military prowess . Originally most of their lives spent in this area: cultivation, harvesting , wage war, in search of food and guarding their fields from the depredations of wild animals . Is in these contexts that the weapons have become an integral part of the culture, with the importance of emotional and deeply religious .These three festivals occur between September and December.

Talakaveri: where the river originates KAVERI. The temple is dedicated on the banks of the river here to Lord Brahma, and is one of only two temples dedicated to Brahma in India and Southeast Asia.
Balikuppe Golden Temple: Bailkuppe near Kushalnagar is one of the largest Tibetan settlements in south India. Most notable among them are the large educational monastic institution Sera, the smaller Tashilunpo monastery and Namdroling monastery .The Mahayana Buddhist University is at Sera. There are nearly 7,000+ monks and nuns. The gold-coated Buddhist statues in the monastery are imposing and unique, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Tibetans. The statues are of Guru Padmasambhava, Buddha Shakyamuni and Amitayus. They make handicrafts, carpets and incense. Tourists can shop for sweaters, dress material and other accessories.
Nisargadhama: the island and picnic spot near Kushalanagara, formed by the river KAVERI.
Iruppu Falls: sacred spot in south Kodagu in the hill range Brahmagiri. And Tirtha River flows nearby Lakshmana .
Abbey Falls : a scenic waterfall 5 km from Madikeri
Dubare: mainly an elephant - and capture of the training camp on the edge of the forest management of forests Dubare; bank KAVERI River along the Kushalanagara - the way Siddapur.
Bhagamandala: Located at the confluence of two rivers, and KAVERI Hotel and Kanika . It is said that the third river , and Sujyothi, to join the underground.
